We need an Andrew Carnegie for spuds

Opec for Spuds

Why am I not surprised that farmers are allowed to both form cartels for higher prices and often recieve subsidies. We don't allow other industries to have cartels. Why should farmers? We also don't allow most industries to be subsidized (yeah, there a few with enough political clout to have them (oil)). But we definitely subsidize corn and other crops and will continue to do so until their political clout eases...

So why bring up Andrew Carnegie? It's been a while since I've read a biography of him, but I believe that he would join cartels, determine their price, and then undercut them. Who will stand up to be the Andrew Carnegie for Taters!
